How I'm Handling the "Waiting"

Struggling to Breathe in the Tension

I’ve been clinging to this song today:

This Mid Story Moment brought to you by Pique Life!

Hydrated Skin. Deeper Sleep. One Daily Ritual!

I used to feel dry, foggy, and drained—until I tried Pique’s Deep Hydration Protocol. This day-to-night electrolyte duo hydrates skin, calms the nervous system, and supports deep sleep. No sugar, no fillers—just results. I feel clear, radiant, and truly hydrated.

Now back to our Mid Story Moment…

If I can be honest with you… I’m struggling with the waiting.

I want God to move faster.
I want clarity sooner.
And I want to see the fruit of all this work and prayer now.

Some days, “waiting on the Lord” feels beautiful. Other days, it feels like holding my breath underwater. In fact, this is where I am today:

“Lord, I can hardly breath today. Is this even the direction you want for me? Am I wasting my time and money and energy?”

I know He’s faithful. I know His timing is perfect. But that doesn’t mean the waiting is painless or easy.

Right now, I’m in the tension between faith and frustration, between hope and weariness. And I can feel how my impatience sometimes edges toward sin. It’s not wrong to wrestle with God — we see authors clearly wrestle like this in the Bible. But when my prayers and internal dialogue shift from “Lord, I trust You” to “God, show up now and make this easier for me,” I know I’m crossing into self-centeredness and doubt.

I know God is here. I see His affirmation constantly. But I am scared today. I feel the enemy pressing in. So I am praying. I am God to continue to reveal His character to me more deeply. Asking for faith, and for strength and more.

I learned this while listening to a video from R.C. Sproul yesterday. Waiting isn’t just about what you get at the end. It’s about who you’re becoming in the middle. It takes effort. I must be cognizant of it. God is shaping my patience, my trust, my integrity, my dependency on Him… even when I can’t see it yet, and even when my feelings of doubt creep in.

If you’re struggling in your own waiting season, you’re not alone.
Let’s keep holding on together.

Still, we will wait. And I pray, “God, help me wait. Give me strength. Give me faith. While I’m waiting, help me praise you and see you”.

Here are two scriptures to meditate on in a season of waiting:

Isaiah 40:31
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (NIV)

Lamentations 3:25-26
“The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD.”
